In order to avoid any embarrassment on either side I'm asking you all whether or not we do pressies, I know it's cheeky but I honestly haven't a clue whether any of u lot wish to do xmas pressies with me! lol =) And no problem if it's a no, we both save dosh lol =)
I've started my countdowns to exciting things lol =D
9 days to the activation of my new touchy screeny phone that's been lying in its box begging to be played with for 3 weeks! =D

Welllll there is a reason why I never update my LJ, and this is because nothing interesting ever happens in my life! lolol
Today, however, was an exception, therefore post I shall =)
My mad day commenced at about 7am today, heading off to Russel Square train station to catch tubeage, which was of course buggered leaving me half an hour late =( Thankfully nothing had started thanks to the amazing disorganisation of the TV crew so all was not lost lolol. Coming into this second audition thinghymybob I had expected it to be much the same as the first- some random TV company person watching people do Shakespeare and a workshop, and this was indeed what it was, except that on arrival there we all find out that it's not done by random TV company people but two people introduced to us as "the head of RADA and the head of LAMDA". Well that's a bit fucking brill isn't it! =D lolol I don't think anything will come of the audition this time, the others were all too good, but holy crap I've had a lesson from the head of RADA! hehe =D
The audition itself was pretty uneventful- a workshop consisting almost entirely of tableau work (which I can't stand, but was too taken in by the status of the drama people to be bothered, shallow girl that I am!) followed by quite a bit of sitting around before being called individually to say a Shakespeare piece, pretty standard stuff really =) Unfortunately I was seen by the rather terrifying dragon-like LAMDA bloke rather than the lovely soft-spoken RADA lady, but at least I got an honest opinion (ie my voice is good but my physicality is well and truly pants.....well i knew that already! lolol)
Having been told the audition could last until up to 6pm I'd booked myself a 7:45 train back to Leeds, finding out quickly this hadn't been necessary when they told me i could leave at 12. So of course I did what any sane drama student would do- headed straight to Leicester Square's discount ticket booths to catch a matinee! =D Having not expected to be anywhere near able to afford all the shows I fancied I ended up stuck between Avenue Q, Wicked (which I HAVE to see after the clips I've seen of the amazing staging!) and Little Shop of Horrors so with a queue forming behind me I told the guy to print me out a ticket to the closest theatre of the 3 and i'd find out after I'd paid (a bit risky i guess but I actually ended up with cheapest surprisingly enough!). Only thought when I got there that possibly Little Shop wasn't the best choice to go to alone given my freaky plant phobia and shifted out of my seat 4 rows from the front to a safer distance from the offending Audrey 2.
((sorry just noticed how hugely long and boring this is but given that i've not posted in about 2 years it's allowed... =P))
The show was absoluetly fucking amazing!!! (Plus who could possibly complain about Janet from 2 Pints in the slutty Audrey outfit....) **takes a moment to tell her dirty lesbian side to calm down** =) Though they had to replace poor Janet for the second half cos she'd lost her voice =( I never knew they actually tell you when they have to swap to the understudy, a random bloke in a suit and tie came to tell us, twas a bit posh. =)
I'd forgotten how different the stage version is from the movie and had a good cry at Audrey getting eaten, but sadly missed the mean green momma song!! By the end I was snuggled up to my bag hiding behind it... i'm not easily scared but you all know about the phobia by now lolol =) thankfully this time I was nowhere near the greenery they sent out over the audience, having made sure I was nowhere near any wires or spaces in the walls- didn't want a repeat of last time the touring company came to leeds and I screamed the place down when the arms came out over my row (who'd have known they'd have had special bits rigged up the circle when I made sure we were up there to be as far away as possible!)
Wandering back from the theatre I noticed a few people hanging around and went to see what they were nosying at... then went a bit mad at the fact it was cast signings and rushed in to buy my programme (cos really I'm just a great big fangirl! =D), after which I decided to go up the BBC impressions guy (Alistair Mcsomeone??) and tell him he looked gorgeous in leather, just for the randomness (and because The Dentist is just one of those characters I find unexplainably sexy whether the guy playing him is or not! lolol) , to which the response was a slightly disturbed look and a book signing. =) Though not fair at all that Janet had gone, I love her she's brill! (and not just for pervy reasons! lolol) =(
And now my feet are torn to shreds and I'm in serious need of a bath, and that was one bollocking huge entry, i apologise =P

Bonjour mes amis! :P Is everyone OK to get to Leeds quite late on Saturday as le Nattus told me today she has to work til 6 in mancland, and 2 trips can be done if necessary but I'm lazy lol :P Sammie I know u can get here but I'll be staying at my mum's before so will probably come from hers to pick people up in Leeds so unless there's a problem do u mind meeting with everyone else, if anyone has a problem with that I'll come get u :) i'm sure cheap booze can be found somewhere while we wait hehe :)

Ugh! :( Apologies for the lack of party due to my imminent death by flu :( I do, however, want to know when ur next back Jen (Nat I don't bother about ur uni times 2 much seeing as u have the Laura here and arent that far away anyways :P)
For party in the hopefully very near future we have the following things (mainly thanks to us both being sick new years eve lol)
-3 ltrs cheap but posh champagne
-3 1/2 litres lambrini
- 1 1/2 litres cherry lambrini (touch that and u die tis mineee! :P)
-one bottle posh pink champagne
-huge box of red wine
- The Buzz Playstation quiz!
-Rocky Horror and le petit magazin des horreurs :D (dont ask me why i decided to probably incorrectly Frenchify it i just did cos im ill so :P)

I wanted to have an Xmas party before Xmas but doesn't look like that's gonne happen :( Having had all day every day free last year I hadn't counted college into shopping time and will end up with a grand total of about 4 shopping days! lolol And if I don't shop completely on my own i get distracted and dont buy anything, which is not good! :(
So if anyone would care to Xmascard me or be Xmascarded please email me, won't be offended if anyone just doesn't do Xmas cards either, I know u love me lolol :P
In other news I get to sing a whole song all by myself in the college show on Monday, yaaaaaaay!

I have just discovered two things, one bloody brilliant and one just plain disturbing....
1 (bloody brilliant!).... They sell THESE!! That's going on my Xmas list to mummy! lolol
1 (just plain disturbing... :P) If you watch The Dark Crystal in as much detail as I do you'll see that Aughra has a permanent HUGE nipple stand....wonder what's exciting her! :S

Hellohello :P We really need to think about paying for rocky horror in the next few weeks or there won't be room for us, tony's mates are coming but we wont see then for a few weeks to get money so i'll probably be really hounding people after we get theirs (I'm guessing it was best for me to take money and book cos i live nearest, am not taking control in manner of dictator, honest!)
Everyone will be staying here so it's really gonna have to be Saturday night, tickets will be £27.50, there are cheaper ones at £23 but most of you have heard and agreed with my theory on the cheapest theatre tickets- don't get them cos sometimes u can't see properly and they dont bother telling u this when u buy them, bradford being a particular bugger for doing this...
No idea if it's happening or if we'd all fit in but tony's lot were talking about hiring a limo to pick us up and drop us off, with this many of us probably about £20 each at most and won't have to be payed for till nearer the time, but if anyone thinks they might not be able to afford it tell us so we dont book it!
All this said I can't actually get out to meet anyone to collect said money due to total lack of funds except my £30 rocky horror fund i'm NOT going to touch lol until at least next week, and we really need tony's mates money first cos we only ever see them every few months and one set of us will have to arrange a visit, but we just have to start seriously thinking about sorting it out because we really dont want them to run out of tickets! :) |
